The aroma reinforces the colour with strong spicy fruit and subtle smokey oak flavours. The intense generosity of the palate is dominated by blackberry fruit and black pepper spice. The long aging in oak imparts soft, silky tannins and a firm structured finish. AGEING Released with 24 months wood and bottle age, this wine will continue to improve over the next 5 to 10 years under good cellaring conditions. It will certainly reward those who are patient, but this classic style will also be enjoyed by those who cannot resist the immediate temptation. To fully appreciate this wine, we recommend that it be decanted 3 to 4 hours before serving.
