Iscay means two in Quechuan, original language of the Incas, who inhabited both sides of the Andes Mountains when European settlers arrived in Argentina. The name symbolises the union of two grapes, Merlot and Malbec, and the two great Winemakers, Michel Roland and Angel Mendoza. Merlot from the Cruz de Piedra vineyard and Malbec of Las Palmas vineyard give deep blueblack colour and ripe, sweet tannins. The wine has a lush, exotic character, flavours of black truffles, earth and chocolate wrapped in soft tannins. It is fermented and aged in barrels before bottling, and unfined and unfiltered.
