Tasting note: An especially ripe nose features a spicy mix of earthy red berry fruit aromas that are trimmed in discreet oak. The earth-suffused, serious and strikingly textured full-bodied flavors possess plenty of sève and a youthfully austere, linear and impressively persistent finish. In sum, this is an outstanding Clos de Vougeot though one that will require ample patience.
