First Canadian red in my life !!!!
Dark red, close to Crimson apperance under fade light. The nose initially suggested of hot graphite, undertonned by medium herbal note (bottled decant for 1 hour), and after another 30 min in glass, nose opend to apricot, strong note of herbs, and some spice.
The palate is quite smooth, firm tanning but silking, balanced by good acidity and shy fruits mainly of appricot, nutty characteristics maybe due to the cs/merlot combo, one down side to it however is that the fruit peaks yet fades quickly in the glass with a rather short finish.
Generally speaking, a quite complex wine, good layers and lots of change.
