Opaque, ruby red rim, medium body. Opening aroma of stud leather, diminishing blackcurrant and smoked duck, however giving it some swirl and some time in the glass, the aromas changed banana split dominated by cassis

 

The palate is pretty much inline with a classic St. Julien, although not as intense as the 03 vintage, cassis, black rip fruits integrated with a chewy tannin. Medium finish, lack of intensity and length. Although not my favourate vintage, it does suggest further cellaring potentials.
